Lake days, indoors

Southwest Shores

Boathouse great room with a cream sectional on a jute rug, sage dining chairs, and floor-to-ceiling glass looking onto the water
Location
St. George area, Utah
Setting
Private ski lake
Scope
Boathouse interiors

Water on
three sides.

A boathouse on a private slalom ski course, where the room has one job: frame the water. Floor-to-ceiling glass wraps the living space, so the interior stays quiet and easy. A deep cream sectional, a jute rug, sage chairs around a white dining table. The single flourish is a wet bar in the corner: patterned tile behind floating oak shelves, brass at the tap, and teal cabinets faced in cane. Everything dries fast and forgives wet feet.

Boucle sectional and a spindle side table in the foreground with the dining table, sage chairs, and a red rug at the glass wall

One bold corner

Keep the big pieces calm and spend the color in one place. The wet bar takes the tile, the teal, and the brass so the rest of the room can take the view.
